About the job
As Financial Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for the delivery of the company’s key financial metrics, KPIs, and performance reporting.
Your role will work closely with the finance team to support all financial operations. You will also partner with internal stakeholders to support business growth.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a strong and experienced Financial Planning Analyst with an excellent knowledge of finance management, planning, and performance reporting. You will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and be confident communicating, interpreting, and analysing results. You will be able to turn analysis into actionable insights to grow the business.
You are a team player who enjoys working as part of a team, who is also able to work independently to deliver results. You can work to tight deadlines in an often-high-pressured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing the monthly recurring revenue report, including KPIs and metrics for the finance team and wider business.
- Interpreting data and analysing results to help drive positive business outcomes.
- Evolving operational metrics by creating new reports and KPIs from scratch to measure performance, reduce costs, and improve efficiencies.
- Reviewing financial, call and minute performance to understand trends in performance and to influence decision making and improve margins and profitability.
- Business partner across departments to form a bridge with finance by creating reports, stats and data that link, align and track against the business’ strategic goals.
- Maximising value add activity and reducing non-profitable activity, as well as contributing to a reduction in activity gaps in the wider business operations and projects
- Producing the monthly flash revenue report, whilst supporting billing accuracy, completeness and driving client profitability
- Lead the production of financial models, budgets, forecasts, and costings across the business.
- Lead in creation of an effective business partnering environment where the finance department provides timely, insightful, and impactful data that adds value company-wide.
- Building and developing strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including Customer Success, Operations, Sales and Marketing.
- Providing ad hoc financial information and analysis to support the Group FC and wider business with day-to-day operations.
- Enabling and seeking growth by identifying and developing operational savings, growth, and margin opportunities
Key Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- In-depth understanding of finance and business trends and ability to articulate actional impact and outcomes in an interpretable format.
- Excellent research skills and the ability to understand and evolve KPIs and reporting.
- Ability to recognise and recommend potentially profitable outcomes.
- Understanding of financial topics including management accounts, benchmarks, and metrics.
- Ability to work with and manipulate incomplete/inconsistent data and natural curiosity to understand the why.
- Strong planning, presentation, and prioritisation skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
