About You
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Product Owner with previous experience in driving product innovation to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our customers and market demands. The candidate should have some experience in utilising AI/ML to build commercial products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company’s overall goals and objectives
- Create, prioritise, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the product strategy and stakeholders' requirements
- Define and document user stories and requirements, ensuring they are well-understood by the development team
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, sales, marketing, and development teams, to gather and refine product requirements
- Working closely with a cross-business team, UX, and Head of Product, conduct market and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation
- Work closely with the Agile development team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of product features and improvements, providing forecasted dates based on identified velocities
- Monitor product performance and user feedback to identify areas for enhancement and optimisation, while tracking product usage to decide when to EOL unused capabilities
- Maintain clear and transparent communication with all stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
- Positively influence the team to engage and deliver impactful capabilities
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a product owner or similar role, working closely with development teams
- Strong understanding of AI and Machine Learning, and any related technologies
- Proven experience working within Agile frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban
- Ability to analyse data, market trends, and user feedback to make informed data-driven product decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product requirements and updates
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders at various levels
- Proactive and innovative problem-solving abilities
- Basic understanding of software development and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a cross-functional team
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, with two days per week in the office
- Understanding of SaaS product offerings
Additional Desirable Skills
- Experience with product management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar
- Understanding of UX/UI principles
- Certification in Product Management or Agile methodologies
- Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms
